May 9, 2023 – One year after the release of Bienvenue à Baveuse City, a colorful concept album conceived as a fictitious city where each track represents a place, Marie-Gold begins the release of an album-mixtape called Retour à Baveuse City.

After releasing the first single Lassée feat. Leys last March, she now presents a second single Sur la lune: an intimate song, written in response to a criticism often levelled at the rapper for not paying attention. The artist tackles recurring themes such as difficulty concentrating caused by modern overstimulation, random self-diagnosed ADHD and social isolation. On Baveuse City’s map, the song Sur la lune hides behind the clouds – a safe place, away from the clubs and nightlife action, where her bubbling creative spirit gets away from the hustle and bustle of the city and calms down.

This soaring, cloud rap-influenced track is produced by Mammouth (Lala&ce, Oboy, Chilla…) and mixed by Igor Dubois (Tetsuro, Oboy, Dope.Gng). And it’s obviously an opportunity for the rapper, who recently graduated in engineering physics, to slip in references to astrophysics and aerospace.
