This Friday, July 7, Marie-Gold unveils Retour à Baveuse City. The work is intended as an extension of the album released in 2022, Bienvenue à Baveuse City, with a more mature, darker twist. The first project presented a fairy-tale, colorful city, while the second reveals it in a more apocalyptic light.

Retour à Baveuse City is not an official album, but 12 songs offered as a gift to those who enjoyed the previous album. The project features contributions from a host of beatmakers, including Mammouth, Freakey!, Mike Clay, Fifo, Yung Coeur et Shien, Laos, Titouan Lienhard and Noé Carillo. The album is a delicious blend of soft, cloudy vibes, coupled with strong, energetic, driving rhythms.

“Initially, I wanted to unveil Retour à Baveuse City just two months after the release of Bienvenue. But life decided otherwise: a veritable storm of shows, the making of a short film, trips to Europe and graduation (at last) meant that creating these songs took longer than expected. The result is a project that’s surprisingly more sensitive and polished than it was originally intended to be-not a bad thing in itself, in the end.” – Marie-Gold

Despite the destruction of her imaginary city, Marie-Gold remains true to her nature, disrupting everything in her path and working enthusiastically to realize her ambitions! The album opens with a Speech and closes with a scathing thank you. Don’t miss the chance to listen to this album!
