We can finally announce it here, Les Faux-Monnayeurs will be well represented at the Festival international de jazz de Montréal! Afrikana Soul Sister, Papagroove and Nomadic Massive are set to perform at this great event!
Nomadic Massive , before taking off for an European tour, will occupy the scène TD on the Place des Festivals, not once, but twice, on Monday, July 2nd at 9PM and 11 PM. Known for their explosive shows and sharp socially conscious lyrics, the 10 piece band has captivated audiences worldwide with their own mix of global beats, based on live instrumentation and the art of sampling.
Afrikana Soul Sister will perform on the same evening at 10 PM! This quartet always delivers a refreshing organic-electro-afro-house sound where polychrome ambiances are artfully welded together on laptop with authentic African musical roots.
The public will have the opportunity to see Papagroove three times at the 2018 FIJM! The group has been invited to take part in the Montreal Night Stopovers Casino series. Go groove with them at the Montreal Jazz Club (corner of Bleury and René-Lévesque) on June 28th and 29th at 10 pm. If you are more diurnal than nocturnal, you are not left out! Papagroove will be performing at noon on June 30 at Cégep du Vieux-Montreal (255, Ontario East).
