Once upon a time, about 12 years ago, multi-instrumentalist Jean-François Lemieux embarked on this grand adventure that is Afrikana Soul Sister.

What was initially a vague project with no specific goals, has now become a real artistic journey which has been joined by other sound travellers: Joanie Labelle, Djely Tapa, Mélissa Lavergne, Sylphir Soulay, Kattam Tam, Djely Mory, Sarah Lachbar, Dramane Koré, Nnta Sylla and Élage Diouf.

The collective is launching today its first album which is now available for sale and streaming online.
