Christian Clermont

After more than 25 years of success composing music for television and film, pianist and performer Christian Clermont reveals a more personal side with Lac des Sables, his debut album set for release in 2025. His neo-classical compositions, both intimate and universal, invite listeners on a journey through a rich and nuanced soundscape where piano and cello intertwine beautifully on stage.

Born in Quebec City, Christian Clermont studied music at the Université de Montréal, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in composition. For over two decades, he has been a prominent figure in Canadian and international television, creating original scores for numerous acclaimed series, including Transplant, Mirage, Apocalypse (WW1, Verdun, The Impossible Peace), Pour Sarah, Fugueuse, This Life, Les Honorables, and Aveux. His musical work also extends to film, with notable contributions to Pee-Wee, Junior Majeur, and 5150, Rue des Ormes.

Recently, Clermont decided to take a new step in his musical journey by releasing an album of personal compositions. This project showcases his own creative voice, offering listeners a window into his inner world and a more intimate perspective on his artistic universe. While much of his work takes place in the studio, performing live gives him a rare opportunity to connect authentically with his audience, allowing him to experience their energy and reactions in real time and enriching his artistic expression.
