Les Tireux d’Roches prensent Tapiskwan Sipi

Les Tireux d’Roches are great storytellers. This time, it is without words that the Quebec group unveils the history of its terroir, that of its land, of the Saint-Maurice River – named Tapiskwan Sipi in the Atikamekw language. As a result of musical inspiration drawn from these waters, and its hundreds of kilometers of eloquent memory, this album is a guide for a unique encounter with the Tapiskwan Sipi, the heart and soul of the Mauricie.

With this new record produced, sound recorded, and mixed by Davy Gallant (Studio Dogger Pond), Les Tireux d’Roches explore a whole new avenue. With the voice of Karine Awashish (co-founder of the Nitaskinan co-op), they offer for the first time a purely instrumental album and invite listeners to make the descent of the Saint-Maurice River with their music.

The seventh full-length album in career of the five-piece band is now available on all streaming platforms. The album is also on sale starting today.
